The SBA proposes redefining "small business" — with size caps rising more than tenfold in some industries. The August proposal consolidates 995 standards into 338 industry groups, with an estimated 114,000+ firms newly qualifying. About a quarter of federal contracts are set aside for small businesses — qualification = money. The comment period is extended to Nov 20; if you want government contracts, go leave a comment.
